Summary of Fund Objective

The Fund aims to provide a combination of current income and long-term capital appreciation by investing, under normal market conditions, in a diversified portfolio of equity securities worldwide.

A combination of capital appreciation and dividend income. In its bid to provide capital appreciation, the Fund invests in undervalued or out-of-favour securities offering current income and/or opportunities for future capital appreciation. At the same time, the Fund seeks income by investing in stocks with attractive dividend yields.

Large-scale diversification by country, sector and capitalisation. Templeton Global Equity Income Fund has full discretion to invest in preferred and common stocks as well as in convertible bonds in any country, currency denomination and market capitalisation.
